It's the start of a new year and in a lot of ways we are going back to square one. The closing months of 2011 were a nightmare, losing two vans in 6 weeks along with a lot more of our financial reserve than we'd like. The time we spent with our families and loved ones after coming home was a huge help. We realized that 2011, despite it's closing downfalls was by far the best year we've had yet as a band. We released an EP that we are all proud of, we won a Verge Award for Artist of the Year, we went out to the west coast of Canada for the first time and made incredible friends with the guys from USS. Lots of new friends this year! There has been so much bubbling up beneath the surface over the past 6 months and we are all very excited to release the steam through our next album. I think many of our fans will be happy with the choices we've been making regarding the direction of our music. We have many new influences from blues to country and soul, and it has been pushing us back towards our folk roots and to the magic that can come from a song when it is honest and and from the heart.
